Early Research — Molecular Biology of Colorectal Cancer (2001–2005)

Before specialising in breast surgery, Mr Ghosh was a Clinical Research Fellow in Surgery at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire with the University of Warwick (2000–2003), studying how COX-2 drives blood-vessel growth (angiogenesis) in colorectal cancer via VEGF. This work — presented at national and international meetings and published in the meeting supplements of the British Journal of SurgeryColorectal DiseaseEJSO and Hepato-Gastroenterology — won the Presidential Poster Award at the American College of Gastroenterology, Seattle 2002.
