Breast Lift
A breast lift in London (mastopexy) is the perfect solution for sagging and unshapely breasts. Breast lift surgery can firm and tone breasts which may have lost natural pertness following childbirth, aging, or weight loss. Breast lift reduction can give you the smaller bust you long for, or breast augmentation can be used to achieve fuller breasts.
Breast lift benefits
- Lifted, perky breasts
- Improved confidence
- Clothes fit better without a bra
- Curvy, feminine figure
Is a Harley Street breast lift right for me?
Boob jobs can only be performed on women over the age of 18 when the breasts have fully developed.
Breast lifts are used successfully on women with small, sagging breasts. Larger breasts can also be lifted, although the results won’t be as long term. You may instead chose to have a breast reduction lift to uplift and shrink your chest all at once.
At your consultation with specialist consultant breast surgeon in London, Mr. D.B. Ghosh, your suitability for boob job surgery will be determined. You must be in good overall health and have realistic goals for surgery.
What does breast surgery involve?
Mastopexy takes around two hours to complete. After putting you under general anaesthesia, your breast surgeon on Harley Street will make an incision around the areola, and another from the areola down to the natural fold of the breast. Excess skin will be removed before the breast is repositioned and tightened. In most cases, the areola and nipple are also repositioned and lifted to compliment the breasts.
Fuller breasts can be achieved with a breast augmentation, which adds half hour onto the procedure.
After boob jobs in London, patients spend at least one night in hospital. You will wear a non-wired post-surgical bra for comfort and support and take medication to relieve pain.
What will scarring look like?
Your surgeon will explain where the incisions will be made before breast uplift surgery. The number of incisions depends on how droopy the breasts are. You will definitely have a scar around the nipple, which will fade and become less noticeable over time.
How long does recovery take?
It takes five to six weeks on average to recover after breast surgery on Harley Street. You will need to wear a post-surgical bra day at all times for six to twelve weeks after surgery. The bra should only be removed for showering and once your stitches are taken out a week later.
Bruising, swelling, and soreness can last for one to two weeks, and you will need to spend this time off work and resting at home. Avoid exercise for seven to ten days, and start gentle walking after three to four weeks. Strenuous exercise should only be introduced after six weeks.
What about aftercare?
