Am I a suitable candidate?
Your suitability for breast enlargement in London will be determined at our breast clinic on Harley Street. Only women over the age of 18 (when the breasts have fully developed) can have breast surgery. At your consultation with Mr. D.B. Ghosh, a first-class consultant breast surgeon in London, your personalised treatment plan will be created. Your health and your goals for surgery will be taken into account.
What happens during cosmetic surgery for breast enlargement?
Breast surgery in London takes one to two hours and is performed under general anaesthetic.
During your Harley Street breast enlargement, small incisions will be made to place the implants either behind or over the breast tissue and muscles. Once complete, your breast surgeon on Harley Street will carefully close the site with stitches.
Where are the incisions made?
There are four different incisions that may be used for breast augmentation: around the nipples and areolas, along the fold below the breast, in the underarm, and in the navel. The right incisions for you depends on your preferences and your body type. The incisions will be discreet and scarring will naturally fade over time.
What does recovery look like?
After your London breast augmentation: you will stay overnight in hospital and wear a breast band and compression bra to reduce swelling and bruising. Medication will be prescribed to relieve pain and discomfort.
The next few days: You will be given comprehensive advice regarding aftercare, as well as an emergency 24/7 phone number for your local nursing team. Most women are able to return to work one to two weeks following breast enlargement. However, strenuous activity interferes with healing and should be avoided.
Two to three weeks: Patients can begin light physical activity, with the exception of chest exercises.
One month: Normal exercise routines can be resumed with the inclusion of chest exercises.
What’s the difference between saline and silicone implants?
Harley Street breast implants are made of either silicone and saline: both are safe and both provide beautiful results. Saline implants are made of saltwater, whereas silicone implants are filled with a thick, sticky gel.
Silicone is generally thought to provide the most natural results. If you have silicone breast implants, you should have an MRI three years after the procedure to ensure the implant is healthy and hasn’t ruptured.
Mr. D.B. Ghosh will recommend whether silicone or saline implants are best for your breast enhancement. However, the final decision is up to you.
How long do implants last?
The implants will last for ten to twenty years before they need replacing. To ensure best results, wear well-fitting bras for support and be careful not to gain too much excess weight.
How much do Harley Street breast implants cost?
No breast augmentation is the same and the price varies for each patient. Breast enlargement prices start from £3990 and up. Mr. D.B. Ghosh will discuss the cost of your breast enlargement surgery with you at your consultation.
